How to use every part of The Academic OS
Your home screen. Shows your overall GPA, a heatmap of recent study activity, upcoming deadlines, and quick stats pulled from everything else in the app. Nothing to set up here — it updates automatically as you use the other sections.
Where you track subjects and grades.

Adding a subject: click + Add Subject. Pick a standard curriculum (IGCSE / A-Level / AP) or switch to Local Curriculum to type in any subject name freely. Set lessons-per-week (this weights the subject in your overall GPA — more weekly lessons = more influence on your GPA), how many summative assessments (SAs) it has, and how much SAs vs the final exam count toward the grade (must total 100%).

Entering scores: click into any test cell in the table and type a score. GPA, letter grade, and category update instantly.

Editing a subject: click the subject name to change its weighting, lessons/week, or delete it entirely.

Target GPA: set a goal GPA — the app shows what average score you still need on remaining assessments to hit it.
Your task manager. Click + Add Task to log homework or assignments — set a subject, due date, and an energy level (High/Medium/Low), which is meant to reflect how much mental effort the task takes so you can match tasks to how you're feeling. Filter and sort the list by subject, energy, or due date. The "Daily Load This Week" card shows how tasks are distributed across the week so you can spot overloaded days early.
Your notes system. Click + New Note to start writing — supports Markdown formatting and LaTeX for math/science notation. You can attach PDF or Word files to a note, and everything auto-saves as you type. Use the search bar or the subject filter to find notes quickly once you have a lot of them.
Spaced-repetition study planner. Click + Log Study Session after studying a subject, then rate your confidence 1 (very low) to 5 (mastered) — the app schedules when you should revisit that subject next, spacing it further out the more confident you are. The 16-week heatmap shows your study time day by day, and the Priority Queue surfaces whatever's most overdue for review, so you always know what to study next without guessing.
Your weekly class schedule. Click any empty slot to add a lesson or break — unlimited slots per day, fully editable. The banner at the top shows a live countdown to your next class. Reset Defaults restores the starting template; Clear All wipes it completely if you'd rather build it from scratch.
A Pomodoro-style focus timer with optional ambient background sound. Customize how long focus sessions and breaks last, pick a sound (or none), and adjust volume. Good for dedicated study blocks — start it, work until it ends, take the break, repeat.
Your data (grades, notes, tasks, timetable — everything) is tied to your account and synced to the cloud automatically a couple seconds after any change, so it's the same on every device you log into.
